From Broadcast House

This blog will be full of oddities from over 70 years of broadcasting, some on the local level, some national, some that may or may not be on the level. Most of my life I’ve been fascinated by local TV, some of it to the point where I’ve often imagined how local stations function, from commercial breaks, promos, even local newscasts. Thankfully YouTube came along and offered some of the local flavor that has come to characterize TV over the years. Wikipedia has been a big help with station histories, plus the always invaluable social messaging that is Facebook. I’ll try to come with a different blog each day pertaining to a vintage TV subject matter, plus I’ll come to ask for your input, as you too have been tuned in to the many memorable aspects of TV through the years. So much for the first post, now let’s share those memories!
